Los Angeles, California metal band Melted Bodies is set to release their self-titled record “The Inevitable Fork Vol. 1”, on November 25th. The record will be the first of three EPs that will be released as an album next year, if you’re unfamiliar with them, Melted Bodies is a fourpiece that formed in 2015. They’ve become known in the LA underground for their chaotic, energetic, and unpredictable live shows and for sharing the stage with other underground bands such as Red Fang, Kikagaku Moyo, Horse the Band, Machine Girl, and others. In 2020 they released their debut album, Enjoy Yourself, as for their next album, takes much of the physical energy and harsh honest lyrics from “Enjoy Yourself”, and expands it with a more internalized lyrical approach and new musical ideas.
For the most part, I really enjoy this E.P., it’s dripping with early Industrial Metal influences with a little touch of Numetal. Honestly, if you are a fan of bands such as System Of A Down, Daughters, Dillinger Escape Plan, etc. this band is definitely up your alley. One of my favorite songs on the E.P. is “The Inevitable Fork”, it puts you into the driver’s seat of what you are about to experience for the next Twenty-Two minutes.
Make sure to check out “The Inevitable Fork Vol. 1” everywhere on November 25th! In the meantime, you can check out the song “Therapy” which is also featured on the E.P. below!
